Grove Retreats is part of Doldowlod Old Station Caravan Park: a small quiet, well managed park 3 miles south of Rhayader and 4.5 miles from the Elan Valley Visitor Centre. It is a perfect location from which to explore the unspoiled beauty of Mid wales and a great base to travel further afield to Snowdonia in the north or Wales's buzzing capital city of Cardiff in the South.
Described by BBC Spring Watch's Iolo Williams as "Wales's last true wilderness," the Cambrian Mountains are the hidden heart of beautiful Mid Wales. This is the gateway to the spectacular Elan Valley, an area which has come to be known as the "Welsh Lake-land"
whilst our local market town of Rhayader is known as "The Wildslife Centre of Wales".
